Here is a recorder/camera feature that can very helpful when composing your videos. It works like this. While recording with a compatible camera pressing pause and then "record review" will cause the tape to reverse for a few seconds. It will then play back those last few seconds until it comes to the original pause point. It then goes back into the record pause mode. This allows you to see (review) a short segment of what you just recorded while still in record. Pressing pause again resumes recording. The picture is played back in the cameras viewfinder or on a TV monitor. The VCR can also do this after being stopped.
