This portable Beta has the 26-pin multi-connector socket in the back. This utility port offers access to various features and allows the use of a number of compatible devices. This socket (shown below with a suitable plug) is where the cable for the companion tuner/timer is plugged in. Once mated the tuner/timer unit will allow the operation of the portable VCR in a number of ways. Broadcast stations as well as any source plugged into the units A/V inputs can be programmed to record. A wired or wireless remote can be utilized. For audio and video in and out without the TT unit a VMC-220A adapter can be plugged into the socket to gain access. PCM recordings can be made using this accessory.
